What is going on with McDonald’s workers these days? In a shocking video a black woman in Salem New Jersey dressed in a McDonald’s uniform violently attacks a white woman on the ground, while her child tries to intervene kicking the attacker several times trying to get her to stop the attacker. Other people in the video pull out their cameras and cell phones to record the attack instead of trying to break it up. The toddler in this case is the only one with the balls to try to stop the attack, while others around the fight seem to be more interested in filming it for their various Facebook and social media feeds. According to new reports the Salem Police Chief posted on his Facebook page that the suspect in the attack was quickly identified and charges are now being filed for the assault.
It seems that fast food workers at McDonald’s have taken their rage out on customers all over the United States in videos posted on YouTube and various social media. Here are just a few examples of these raging employees below which leaves open the question of what is going on at McDonald’s these days?

I think you understand just fine. The violence that’s happening in black communities is the same violence that happens in white communities. It’s born out of the same frustrations and anger and hurts and disappointments and fears. And it all ends with someone looking down the wrong end of a gun. These young white men who go around shooting up people are no better or no different than the young black men doing the same thing. And instead of blaming and fighting each other – which is what the powers that be want us to do – we need to be figuring out how to save all our children and families. What Barack Obama and John Boehner fear the most is people like you and me realizing that we’re on the same side – and it’s not their side. It’s not the side of rich powerful people playing divide and conquer between black and white, conservative and liberal – it’s all just a game to them. Meanwhile we watch people dying for want of help. If you stop and think, racism just doesn’t make sense. But they sure as hell will use it to manipulate us.

Where I live I dont have violence around me so I just see it on the news and makes me sick and cant understand why… im a blue color worker with 5 kids and married and doing well with just me working… I teach my kids if u want something u have to earn it… alot of these kids dont have one of the parents and that is huge.. But there actions they make are there own. If there poor that’s no excuse.. My dad was poor growing up and quit school and he did good for himself. . Also he had 6 brothers and sisters and his dad left them.. His mom worked two jobs and raised them well…

Where I live there’s violence near us. We live in this tiny little corner of Ohio but it’s divided very sharply like the rest of the country. You have the very wealthy, upper and lower middle class the poor and the goddamned, they just got problems poor.
My great-great grandmother was the daughter of slaves freed by Lincoln. She struggled to put all her children through grade school and a few of them made it to high school. One of her daughters, my great grandmother married and they owned a store and restaurant and ran it pretty much until she died. She put two of her children through college and the other through trade school because that was his choice. Her one daughter, my grandmother, was a minister’s wife and school teacher. She was the best educated and smartest of us all so far. She got her PhD in Mathematics no less and eventually became a minister herself in a time when it damned near impossible for women, let alone black women, to do either.
My mother has her master’s degree in Education. My daughter just got her BA this year. Both of my Uncles have BA’s. I’m the dummy in the family with just an Associate’s degree. My dad had a BA but he worked as a crane operator most of his life because where we live, anyplace he could use his BA that wasn’t teaching just wasn’t hiring black men in the 60’s 70’s. But he played classical and gospel piano and gave piano lessons and concerts on the side.
As for me, I just have the one daughter. Her dad and I are divorced. We get along about as well as most split and reblended families do.
I think our families have done pretty well since slavery ended. We’ve done the best we could with what we had and we’ve had mostly success with our children but just like any family, we have our “black sheep.”
Which is to say, we’re just as human as anybody else. And I’m sure we all have our stories about how race issues have shaped, changed and yes, interfered with our lives.
But i was not raised to violence. Most people I know are not. We’re brought to violence or thrust into the violence of others because so much around us goes unaddressed. And there are people who will continue to neglect the issues of hunger, poverty, education and community – they would see others go without or with as little as possible to maintain their own power and wealth.
It’s a shame. So much goes to waste….so much human talent and potential – all because so few are so damned greedy.
