A haggard and disheveled Donald Trump took to the East Room of the White House today and spent 90 minutes lying about the humiliating defeat delivered by the American people during the 2018 mid term election.
He presided over the loss of the House of Representatives. There was an expected gain of a few seats by Republicans in the Senate, given the reality of the election map in 2018. He will now have to deal with investigations and subpoenas with no advantage in the Senate that the GOP did not already have…
And he called it a GREAT VICTORY!
When he wasn’t lying, he was yelling at reporters.
The row began following a question about the migrant caravan approaching the US, when Mr Trump was asked by CNN’s Jim Acosta if he thought he had “demonized” migrants by calling the group an “invasion”.
“I think you should let me run the country, you run CNN, and if you did it well, your ratings would be much better,” the Republican said.
My, my, MY! What a BIG boy answer to a perfectly reasonable question.
It’s easy to understand the Presidential Pique. He had his elderly ass handed to him by the voters last night. For a man who believes his endorsement is a golden ticket to election, McClatchy scored his success rate at 58% with many of his winners being candidates in safe elections that they would have likely won even if Trump never mentioned their names. But even then, candidates that had no business losing in places like Oklahoma, Kansas, Iowa and Wisconsin found themselves fatally soiled by the taint of Trump.
No WONDER he was so grouchy and looked so raggedly unhealthy and sounded so disjointed.
