The man, who is in his 50s, will face federal criminal charges, according to NBC News. The Justice Department, which did not identify the man, has scheduled a news conference in the case at 2:30 p.m., Eastern time.
NBC reported that the man may have previously lived in New York state, possibly in New York City.
A van, reportedly belonging to the individual, was hauled off by federal authorities. It was covered with bumper stickers claiming support for President Donald Trump and other right-wing causes.
