Right Wingers Jubilant Over Federal Judge Ruling Against Obama On Immigration

Yes, right wingers are expressing their joy over Brownsville Federal Judge Andrew Hanen’s ruling yesterday that President Obama overstepped his authority on amnesty for the more than 5 million immigrants who believed that they had a shot at staying in the United States. Republican Governor Greg Abbott sued the Obama administration over Obama’s plan to allow those who have entered the country to stay pending the outcome of their entry applications. Judge Hanen, who was appointed to the bench by George W. Bush, disagreed with how the President viewed his executive powers. Governor Abbott popped his cherry when he heard the news of the judge’s ruling:

“President Obama abdicated his responsibility to uphold the United States Constitution when he attempted to circumvent the laws passed by Congress via executive fiat, and Judge Hanen’s decision rightly stops the president’s overreach in its tracks,” Abbott said in a statement, the American-Statesman reported. “We live in a nation governed by a system of checks and balances, and the President’s attempt to by-pass the will of the American people was successfully checked today.”

These right wing nut-jobs will never cease to amaze me in how racist and bigoted they truly are. Just watch this video to see these right wing nut-jobs acting out their racist fantasies. This is one of those nut-jobs who hangs the flag on his office door with push pins and considers himself a patriot. My hope is that one day the gene pool of these losers will be cleaned out of society.

They don’t want Hispanics filling up the country who would tend to vote democratic. And instead of welcoming these people to the voting roles and trying to engage with them, they would prefer to toss them back over the Rio Grande in handcuffs telling them never to come back. You can read the entire story here. It’s no doubt that Abbott went judge shopping when he filed this lawsuit, and it’s no doubt that a Judge who was nominated to the bench by George W. Bush would think he could interfere with a lawful action by the President of the United States. However, this stands out to me because W was supposed to be all about helping Hispanics, but now a Judge he appointed to the bench says no way Jose.

At the end of the day, it is all about what the Republican party wants, and not what the people want or need. For shame Greg Abbott, for shame. The case is now being appealed to a higher court of Republicans who control the majority of the appellant court. I am sure this will wind its way up the chain of courts as is per usual during litigation, so the game is not over yet. Not by a long shot.
