Survival tools meet acoustics in this new video from Acoustic Geometry, which illustrates how our ears and brain are affected by rooms, their treatments and the acoustics within them.

Featuring a Paleolithic diorama and a lot of broken twigs, this short video shows why focusing on one of our most vital survival tools – our hearing – can help us implement more effective acoustic room improvements, and design a room for a better experience using technology combined with our knowledge of sound.

  1. Very interesting concept. Who knew that you could use one of your basic means of survival to improve your movie and gaming room experience? I have never heard of these acoustic room diffusers before. I wonder why these aren’t used in more movie theaters then?
